The Basque Government, Provincial Council of Vizcaya and the Bilbao City Council have signed a framework agreement with the Spanish Network of Theaters, Auditoriums and Public Ownership circuits to hold a biannual sector meeting called Escenium in Bilbao. This meeting will be used as a forum to define the collective challenges starting from the identification and analysis of current needs.
As it is a global sector meeting, it offers many opportunities for commercial exchange that should be made the most of. That is why it also wants to be a market that gives continuity to Mercartes in the years when this event is not held.
Forum and market are the two functions carried out in Escenium. The fourth edition, which will be held in the Euskalduna Jauregia Congress Centre in Bilbao on 10, 11 and 12 February 2010, will deal with performing arts audiences.
The Government of Quebec will be collaborating in this edition, through the Bureau du Québec à Barcelone.
